The Restaurant

The Lodge at Black Rapids has a full-service, open year-round restaurant serving three meals a day with home-style meals for our guests and to the public! There is not another restaurant within 40 miles of the lodge. The good news is we serve extraordinary and delicious food, prepared with fresh and local ingredients. Our bar serves beer and wine Alaska-style. We can accommodate late check-ins and dietary restrictions (one week’s notice please). Meal costs are not included in room rates.

At our dining facility, every meal transforms into a rich social experience, where diverse worldly experiences converge to make each culinary encounter delightful. We take pride in crafting every dish from local, seasonal produce, incorporating Alaskan fish, seafood, and meats to deliver unique flavors that celebrate the region's bounty.

Our skilled chefs create delicious meals from their kitchen. With meticulous attention to detail, they supervise each stage of preparation, ensuring that the dishes are not only healthy but also packed with flavor.

What truly distinguishes our dining experience, besides our enticing Alaskan main courses, are our salads and desserts. Our salads, prepared from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, are served with our exclusive dressing recipes featuring Alaskan berries and fruits. They are as visually appealing as they are palatable. And let's not forget our desserts, which provide the perfect sweet conclusion to your meal.

In the summer we have our very own herb container garden on the deck, which is used every day to make our dishes sing.
