The Restaurant

The Lodge at Black Rapids has a full-service restaurant, open year-round, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to both our lodge guests and the public. Because all meals are prepared fresh, reservations are required. Located in the heart of the Alaska Range, we're the only restaurant within 40 miles—making every meal a memorable part of your journey.

Rather than a traditional menu, we serve hearty, family-style meals inspired by classic homestyle cooking. Our chefs prepare fresh, flavorful dishes using locally sourced Alaska ingredients whenever possible, creating meals that bring everyone together around the table. We are happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions with at least one week's advance notice. Our bar offers a selection of Alaska beers, wines, and other beverages to complement your meal..

No family-style meal is complete without something sweet. Alongside hearty entrées, guests enjoy fresh salads and homemade desserts, with seasonal ingredients and Alaska berries featured whenever available.

In the summer, many of the herbs used in our kitchen come straight from our deck-side herb garden, adding fresh flavor to meals prepared with care and meant to be shared.
