Summer in Alaska is an unparalleled spectacle, and every single day is a celebration of this natural marvel. We firmly believe that once visitors uncover the secrets of the Alaska Range and delve into its myriad treasures, they will see how this land has the power to reshape lives. We offer 3-6 day summervacation packages tailored for our guests which encompass guided hikes, fishing expeditions, aerial sightseeing, and canoeing adventures.
Prepare to make memories that are truly unique and explore hidden corners that took us years to discover. Our summer packages ensure a hassle-free journey through Alaska with well-informed guides who impart their knowledge about the culture, wildlife, environment, history, and local people. Allow us to guide you to the sheep grazing on nearby hillsides, hike trails to the timberline, and take in the panoramic vistas of the Alaska Range Mountains and the Delta River. Embark on flightseeing trips to regions still untouched. Revel in the tranquility, the burst of wildflowers, the wilderness, and the valleys of the area.
We eagerly anticipate sharing the lore of the valleys, rivers, mountains, wildlife, and nature in a manner that most only encounter in books. Fall paints a remarkable picture, and the Northern Lights put on a spectacular show as early as September. Join us on outings to observe moose in their natural surroundings.

Hiking
Local guided hikes
Immerse yourself in the Alaskan wilderness right from our doorstep. Our local trails offer guided excursions to the striking quartz-streaked bluff that majestically overlooks the eastern ridgeline, far above our lodge. A steady ascent of 1.5 to 2 hours will bring you to the timberline, opening up to picturesque park-like ridgelines just above the treeline.
For the more audacious amongst us, there's the option to venture beyond the bluff, climbing to a distant knife-edge that connects southward with equally dramatic ridges leading back to the nearby Gunnysack Mountain. This exhilarating journey loops back down our trails and ends at the welcoming comfort of the lodge, providing an afternoon filled with invigorating exercise and soul-stirring vistas.
We also offer a selection of remarkable hikes within a short drive south of the lodge. These trails can guide you through the colorful drainages of Rainbow Basin, offer a detour to our mountain chalet, and if you're willing to put in a little effort, provide close-up glimpses of Devil’s Thumb and Mount Silvertip. Experience the thrill of crossing a rushing river via a cable bridge, leading you directly to the face of a glacier. Or visit the ever-changing Castner Glacier and experience the beauty! For those who prefer to explore independently, we can provide maps to aid your adventure.
Views: Ridges and mountaintops are very accessible from the lodge. The views are breathtaking. Better yet, let us fly you to the areas with unnamed peaks!
